While talking about Google's BARD AI, bad news is being heard one after the other, Google still needs to do a lot of work on the chatbot service.
Yusuf Mehdi, Microsoft's vice president of modern living, search and devices, pointed out that Bing is still a small player in the search engine market but has seen a surge in users since the Bing AI chatbot was first introduced. "We see this appeal of the new Bing as a validation of our view that search is due for a reinvention and of the unique value proposition of combining Search + Answers + Chat + Creation in one experience," Mehdi said.
Ever since Microsoft introduced the Bing AI chatbot, more and more people are searching on the Bing search engine, which will play a positive role in the company's growth. The company says that the Prometheus AI model introduced in the Edge browser is giving users more relevant search results. One-third of Bing's daily active preview users are using this feature for their queries. On average, three chats are being done per session, and there have been 45 million chats since the service was added to Bing.
How Microsoft is giving tough competition to Google?
We have already known that ever since Microsoft has added AI chatbot with Bing, there has been a big jump in its performance, due to which Google is getting a tough competition in this matter. The Bing AI chatbot introduced for mobile was very successful, which has seen a 6-fold increase in daily active users.
Although Google has also announced AI chatbot Bard, but after its announcement, some misinformation also spread, which was not at all good for the company's image, even the company's employees criticized Google and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai. Employees said that this chatbot is immature and hastily launched.
Google is still working on improving its features, which is undoubtedly benefiting Bing's AI chatbot. Users of Bing are feeling very comfortable using this chatbot, especially for those who want to use the search engine in a conversational way.
However, right now Microsoft will have to work very hard to catch Google's search algorithm. Nevertheless, the increase in daily active users of Bing search engine is a good thing for the company.
